 CAI MIDDLE EAST

CAI Middle East is CAI's only chapter in the Middle East region and was incorporated in Dubai in May 2017. We serve as a clearing house and research centre on community associations. We assist our members in establishing and operating successful association communities through available publications, workshops, and educational programs. As well as provide a national forum for discussing key issues in the association field. We help to focus national attention on the needs and concerns of individuals and professionals involved with community associations.

WHO WE ARE

In 2010 a group of Estate Managers, from South Africa, attended the Community Associations Institute’s (CAI), Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The visit was made possible by the Association of Residential Communities (ARC) and funding from the Services SETA.

Blown away by the structures and the assistances of CAI to its members, a South African Chapter was in the making. In 2013 the Community Associations Institute of South Africa NPC (CAISA) was born. CAISA is the first International chapter of CAI.

We believe homeowner and condominium associations should strive to exceed the expectations of their residents. We work toward this goal by identifying and meeting the evolving needs of the professionals and volunteers who serve associations, by being a trusted forum for the collaborative exchange of knowledge and information, and by helping our members learn, achieve and excel. Our mission is to inspire professionalism, effective leadership and responsible citizenship—ideals reflected in associations that are preferred places to call home.

CAISA members include Board Members, Homeowner Leaders, Community Managers and Professionals who provide products and services to associations.

WHAT WE DO

The main focus of the CAISA currently is the Professional Management Development Program (PMDP). We aim to provide professional accreditation to the Members within the industry, equipping the individual to reach the highest level of expertise and qualification.

Our members start with an induction course known as CAISA101, then progress through to the M100 and eventually, after successfully passing through all the programs, can qualify to apply for the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation. The PCAM is the ultimate designation in the industry and Members who obtain this qualification are required to annually prove their right to retain this title through continued education and contributions to the industry.

The various PMDP courses are presented to CAI members, classroom style in varies parts of South Africa, by a South African faculty member. Participants have the opportunity to learn from their peers, the faculty members and study the participant’s guide. An online exam is taken at the end of each course to better the participant’s qualifications.
